Jason C. Paur, a cross-country skiing and running coach and substitute teacher at The Bush School (3400 E. Harrison St.), was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 10, in Canada and charged with voyeurism and other offenses. He is scheduled to make his second court appearance next Wednesday, Dec. 18.

He was also charged with possessing and accessing child pornography, and breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime.

He has not yet entered a plea, and no bail has been set.

The Bush School has placed Paur on administrative leave.

The 43-year-old was on a school-sponsored ski-team trip to a resort near Vernon, B.C., when female students found his video camera in one of their rooms, according to a statement from The Bush School.

Paur has been with Bush since October 1996, when he first served as a substitute teacher. He has coached there since 2004.

Criminal background checks — the most recent, on Wednesday, Dec. 11 — showed Paur has no criminal record, the statement said.
