Madison Valley will host its second-annual Bastille Bash on July 13, from 3 to 8 p.m. Festivities will take place along East Madison Street, from 27th to 30th avenues East.

Guests can indulge in French-inspired food from 13 Madison Valley restaurants, sip wines and beer from 30 Northwest and French wineries and breweries, and enjoy live music, street performers (including mimes and a Marie Antoinette impersonator), live chef and gardening demonstrations, kids’ activities and sidewalk sales from more than a dozen retailers — all presented by Madison Valley businesses.

Food is priced per bite, from $2.50 to $7.50; tickets can be purchased in $10 increments. The Wine Passport includes tastings of wine, beer and spirits from each of the purveyors for $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased on-line at madisonvalley.org/events/p/bastille-bash-2013.html.

Proceeds from Bastille Bash support the Children’s Response Center, a local nonprofit that provides legal and counseling services to children under 18 in East and North King County, who have experienced severe abuse, trauma and child crimes.
