Obliteride, the bike-ride fundraiser for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, will spin through most of East-Central Seattle on Sunday, Aug. 10.
The 25-, 50- and 100-mile rides will each start and end at Magnuson Park. The routes take bicyclists down to down to Seward Park and back along Lake Washington Boulevard, Lakeside Avenue South and back onto Lake Washington Boulevard, hitting the Washington Park Arboretum, Madison Valley, Denny-Blaine, Madrona and Leschi.
Bicyclists will also travel on East Harrison Street between Lake Washington Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Way East.
Roads will not be closed, so motorists should keep an eye out for cyclists.
In its inaugural year, Obliteride 2013 raised nearly $2 million for cancer research at Fred Hutch.
